Pinky Promise?

A "pinky promise" also known as a "pinky swear" is a pact or promise made by two people, especially children, by interlocking their little fingers, symbolizing a sincere and binding agreement.

For a long time I contemplated on what to write about but I now know what comes naturally to me, speaking from my heart, writing a personal love letter to you and that is what I have decided to do today.

Can you promise me something? Many things rather....can you promise to always find time to rest? Even though you still have a lot of things to do, you're not in a marathon with anyone, all that matters is that you're making progress in your own time and that's exactly how it should be.

Can you promise that no matter how overwhelming it gets you'll never stop trying? That even on days when it gets tough you won't give up but rather you'll work through it because I believe in the saying "there's always light at the end of the tunnel"

Can you promise to appreciate even the little things? The many little blessings in your life, to acknowledge the amazing people in your life and to not take them for granted, to make sure you tell everyone you hold dear that you love them any chance you get, to not conceal your love for them but to make sure they know how much you truly value and appreciate them.

Can you promise to be open to growth? To dream, to believe and to actualize that dream.

Can you promise to never forget how truly amazing you are? How unique and special you are...

Can you promise to put yourself first? To take care of your self, your mind, spirit, heart, soul and body.

Can you promise to not be so hard on yourself? To give yourself grace, to forgive yourself and most importantly to know and love yourself?

Can you promise to never give up on life? On God, on your dreams, promise me that even when you are lost you'll find your way back, that you won't throw in the towel.

Promise me that when challenges come you won't succumb to them but rather you'll stand firm and overcome!

Can you promise to not stay in toxic environments, to let go of things and people that don't water you, to love yourself enough to leave.

Can you promise to make a decision and stand by it? to move forward and not backward? I know it's not always easy but promise to just hold on a bit longer and believe me when I say it'll be worth it.

Life is for the living and you will live, you will thrive, you will succeed, you will grow, you will achieve everything you want to achieve and you will come out at the top. You just have to believe! I believe in you and I am rooting for you, You've got this!
